It’s been a whole year of running Lucy Sparkles and Friends in Dulwich and Herne Hill. I have loved teaching the Lucy Sparkles and Friends curriculum and enjoyed watching children in their early years develop and learn through play.
Who am I? I’m Jessica Forrest. I’m an actress from a small town in the north west called Colne in Lancashire. I have created comedies for the stage with a friend of mine and featured on CBBC’s children’s show Dani’s Castle amongst other acting credits. I love children as they can keep up with my boundless energy and not many people can. I also LOVE dressing up. So, performing as a unicorn fairy or a superhero at the weekends ticks all the boxes for me! If you can’t see the lighter side of life, then what’s the point?!
Running Lucy Sparkles and Friends in Dulwich and Herne Hill allows me to use my crazy energy to bring out the best in small children’s early development. Our classes follow the EYFS plan and not only help with confidence and social skills but develop memory, co-ordination, fine motor skills and concentration. Each exercise has a purpose even if it just looks like we’re having fun and being social.
Our Dance and Drama classes help children develop co-ordination & rhythm and encourage children to use their imagination and express themselves in a group. Each week we have a different theme for our dance and drama class, so every class is different!
I’m super psyched to be running classes at Punk Me Up every Friday morning and I am looking forward to seeing some new and familiar faces in class.
