As a busy mum with a family in London you know how tricky it can be at times to keep everyone in your household entertained – young and old – with activities that do not involve a screen.
And finding those activities can be tough…
We all know that the creative Arts, messy play and giving children a *certain* amount of freedom to express themselves have huge benefits to their development. Not to mention the big kids. But, unless your front room resembles a fully equipped art studio, making it happen can be complicated.
That is why we created the Punk Me Up Ceramics Café.
My name is Toni Petruzelli and I was a textile designer to some of the most well known brands in fashion. After 5 years of schmoozing though I was tired of it and left because I wanted to work with children.
Over the next 10 years working as a specialist teacher to children with complex needs – and particularly since becoming a mother of two lively boys – I gained true insight into how children develop, play, learn and interact with the world.
So, if you need an engaging way to keep your toddler entertained, an activity to stimulate your older child’s interest in the Arts or simply time out from your busy schedule for you to enjoy yourself – or with your partner of course – then please give us a go!
With a young family of our own, everything I do here at the café is based on experience.
If our latest display is Dinosaurs Love Underpants it is probably because we have read it every night this month, or if we offer haircuts and ceramics sessions it’s because we understand how tricky it is to manage the simple things in life!
We’re open 6 days a week, have lots of events happening in addition to our own
