Here at the East Dulwich grotto Mr and Mrs Punk and our Elves worked very hard to get everything ready in time for Christmas, we were very very busy indeed…
Can you spot each of the team on our Christmas card?
We were busy right up until Christmas Eve this year with our FAST-TRACK service. So for those of you who were last minute Annies (like me) and left present making until the kids had broken up from school, it was nice to see you in the week leading up to Christmas.
We developed this provision for those of us that need a quicker turn around than our standard 7 day service; pay £5 per item to jump the kiln queue, and collect your ceramics a few days later. Pheww!
Run, run as fast as you can…We were pleased to welcome BKD baking kits to the café and not surprised that gingerbread men were our fastest selling Christmas decorations this year, along with baubles of course! And just because we get baby footprint withdrawals in January, we’ve decided to stock them all year round, so Fred’s First Christmas Bauble can be done at the same time as his clay imprint. Babies are born all year round you know, not just a Christmas!
On trend, little old us??
According to Mary Portas, 2015 was the year of the adult colouring book and the Christmas jumper. Did you spot ours on our instagram page? Want a clue? Look for kiln pencils and biscuits! Follow us for current displays and café news.
NEW! We finally said goodbye to the cumbersome shelves in our back room and commissioned the talented Charlotte Mei to re-design the mural with a wintery design. Pop in and see it before it changes to Spring!
So in January expect to find us wearing high heels, with coiffed hair, freshly painted nails and wearing a pair of rubber gloves! We’ll be catching up…
See you all soon x
