We first met Nathalie a few years ago when she was assisting Charlotte Mei at her hand-building clay club sessions and have followed her drawing since.
Her Second Skin Costume Life Drawing profile over on IG had me hooked immediately. I’d never heard of a drawing class with such inspiring looking sets…the artwork that comes out of these sessions is fascinating and I longed to join in.
We asked Nathalie to tell us a bit more about her classes…and invited her to run some one off sessions here at Punk Me Up.
Second Skin is a class which aims to create an immersive drawing experience through combining costume, theatre and drawing. Each class will draw a costumed model with props within an atmospheric set.
The classes are open to all, artists or those curious to try something new, most importantly they are fun and an opportunity to explore drawing in a playful and curious nature…
Classes at Punk Me Up include Who painted my roses red!? taking place on August 27th a drawing workshop suitable for children with storytelling from Alice in wonderland, setting the scene for the queen; painting her roses and making her costume before drawing her.
We will also be hosting a special class in September for mums and babies to come together and draw in a relaxed setting and a Halloween special!
Booking for these upcoming workshops will be open soon so sign up to our newsletter if you are not already as tickets will be limited and are sure to go fast. The first slot’s gone in all of the workshops as I’ve already booked myself in…
