…get the most out of your visit when you’ve already got cabinet full of animals and fairies.
Are you finding yourself struggling to convince your little Punk that you don’t really need another fairy or that Grandma wouldn’t appreciate a robot? We’ve got some fun tips to help you make the most out of your experience here at Punk Me Up and eek out your visit, it is nearing the end of those long school holidays after all. Try this!
Set up a still life
Go on a prop hunt around the café, you’ll easily find some toys, plastic animals or dressing up treasures and makeshift a little scene on your table. You could even pick a face of someone on your table (or a stranger if you dare!) and work from them.
Working from your still life, your chosen object or a face have a go at these fun exercises…we’ll happily provide the drawing materials.
-Draw with your weaker hand
-Draw with one continuous outline…no budging that pencil!
-Draw using only colour and shapes…no outlines allowed!
-Draw without looking at your paper…no peeking!
Feeling ready now?
Pick a ceramic, keep your drawings for inspiration and if you’re feeling especially ambitious change it up and create a new one.
Have you got your brushes, a sponge and some water? Grab a pencil for drafting your ideas onto the ceramic or simply go freestyle!
Pick your colours! Pretty palette or multicoloured mayhem?
Relax, sit back and start painting!
